Imagery Methods in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Certificate Training Course

Imagery Methods in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Certificate Training Course. 5-day workshop, in Ringwood, Hampshire: £350.00.

Also includes a Multimodel Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Certificate.

For Qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapists, Counsellors, Hypnotherapists and NLP Practitioners.

'Thank you for an informative and inspiring course, I am looking forward to the next one!' Rose.

Our Imagery Methods in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy Certificate Training Course runs over 5 days and covers a range of principles designed to give you a good working knowledge of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy methods that you can start to apply in your work right away. (This programme is designed specifically for qualified practitioners who want to learn more about how to integrate CBT Imagery principles into daily practice.)

Led by experienced CBT Imagery Practitioners Kerin Webb and Andrea Lindsay, when you attend this course you'll have the opportunity to explore a variety of approaches to the use of mental imagery and related CBT principles for professional application, with a practitioner who has years of experience in the field.  Together you will discover methods that can be used in the following areas of practice:

• Addictions

• Anxiety

• Depression

• Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

...and more.

Presented by Kerin Webb MA, and Andrea Lindsay D.Hyp

Kerin is a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and the author of two books about hypnotherapy and he's written articles for the popular NLP magazine called The Model, along with the Journal of The Complementary Medical Association.

He's also been featured in the mass market high street publication called Take A Break.

Kerin is also qualified in Hypnotherapy, NLP and Counselling.

Andrea is a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist who works in a local school as a resident counsellor to the pupils and she's also been in practice as a hypnotherapist for over a decade.

She has appeared many times on local radio talking about - and in some cases doing live demonstrations of - hypnotherapy. She has extensive experience of working with children and their parents.

Andrea is herself a supervisor in Dorset for hypnotherapists in practice. She is also qualified in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy.

A Multimodel Approach

Pioneers in the field of CBT, like Dr Albert Ellis and Dr Arnold Lazarus advocated that practitioners are best skilled when using a Multimodel approach to therapy. This principle has been adopted widely by researchers of CBT.  In essence the Multimodel approach means developing a wide ranging appreciation of the various evidence-based psychotherapy principles that are recognised, so as not to place unnecessary limits upon oneself due to excessive devotion to a particular model of therapy.  The Multimodel CBT motto could be: 'Use what works!'. This is the approach we take at Soul Synthesis Ltd.

If a method or principle can be shown to enhance the likelihood of improving the effectiveness of therapy, then we're prepared to consider incorporating it into professional practice - even if the reason for the method's efficacy is still not fully understood by research scientists (as is still the case with EMDR/REM Therapy, for example).

If you want to learn more about using imagery through a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy lens then this course will definitely teach you a great deal. And if you're newly qualified and are wanting to develop some extra skills to use in practice in a new career then we believe what you'll gain from attending this course will be amongst the best insights available for helping people like you to get started.

'Many thanks for the excellent course. I feel so fulfilled now as a therapist and confident that I can approach many more conditions or issues with my clients because of the integrated therapies you taught us... It was really good...' Jen.

Here you'll learn about the influence automatic thoughts and limiting beliefs have on the way people think and feel - and how to use certain strategic 'language pattern' methods to help lead clients into more balanced approaches to life. You'll also discover how to employ the 'experimental' approach in therapy, in order that your clients can gain meaningful insights regarding how responding to situations in alternative ways to their habituated problematic ones can change how those events are perceived - and therefore experienced, too.  You'll cover a variety of imagery formation techniques, from progressive relaxation, guided visualisation to indirect approaches. You'll explore useful integrative methods for helping to erase phobias ...along with learning about principles that can be employed when working with clients who present with anxiety disorders, depression and/or OCD.

'I would strongly recommend Hypnotherapy for anyone with issues concerning confidence, weight loss, smoking cessation etc. I recently completed my Hypnotist training course in January with Kerin Webb... Whilst training I asked for help regarding my fear of flying. I hadn't been on a plane for 14 years because of it and, quite frankly, I wanted rid of this fear. After approximately 40 minutes of practising hypnosis techniques my fear had completely gone......vanished! I even tried to feel nervous but couldn't! I'm very pleased to say that I flew to Portugal in February with NO PROBLEMS at all!! ...it completely turns your life around as so many amazing things have happened to me since I spent that week doing the course!!!' If you're looking for powerful change protocol wrapped in a highly relaxing, fluid, and effortless delivery, then search no farther. Kerin Webb's hypnosis recordings are top-notch! I will be recommending them to my own students.'

'I own several hypnosis recordings from Ultra Hypnosis... As a user I enjoy them for their outstanding technical quality and their relaxing and inspiring content. As a hypnotherapist I find them very useful to study the language patterns and the structure of the inductions. I especially value the possibility to learn from submodalities used such as intonation and speed variations which cannot be observed when reading hypnotic material. I can highly recommend this material for clients as well as learning hypnotists!'
